Apple Pony Inn offers lodging in 7 beautifully appointed, equine-inspired, farmhouse suites with mountain and countryside views from every vantage point. All suites have a private, en-suite bathroom and a gourmet breakfast is provided to all registered guests each morning.

Check in time is between 3:00 – 6:00 pm each day. If you need to arrive outside of this timeframe, please call, text or email (814-777-8466, innkeepers@appleponyinn.com).

Check out time is before 10:30 am.

Housekeeping service is provided every third day of a guest’s stay; however, fresh towels and other bathroom items may be requested as needed.

A deposit of half the total cost will be charged at the time of reservation, the second half payment will automatically be charged to the credit card on file 13 days prior to the stay.

Please note our cancellation policy, guests may cancel up to 14 days in advance and either reschedule the stay OR receive a refund of the deposit; however, we will retain a 10% non-refundable cancellation fee. Reservations cancelled 13 or fewer days in advance are non-refundable.

A specific cancellation policy requiring 30 days of advanced notice applies to PSU graduation and whole and half house rentals.

Appaloosa Suite

A place for descendants of wild mustangs, the Appaloosa Suite is a cozy place to relax and take in countryside views of the Tussey Mountain Ridge. Located on the second floor, this suite features a large en-suite bathroom with a tub/shower and king bed. Consider reserving the Friesian Suite for extra guests, located right across the hallway.

Friesian Suite

Famous for its magnificence, beauty and luxurious mane and tail, the Friesian Suite is spacious, elegant and cozy featuring countryside views of Mount Nittany and the courtyard. Located on the second floor, this suite features a large en-suite bathroom with a tub/shower and king bed. Consider reserving the Appaloosa Suite for extra guests, located right across the hallway.

Quarter Horse Suite

As one of the oldest recognized breeds of horses, the Quarter Horse Suite features countryside views of historic Mount Nittany and the mature gardens in the courtyard. Located on the second floor, this features an en-suite bathroom with tub/shower and king bed. The suite includes a desk for extended working stays. Consider reserving the Belgian Suite for extra guests, located right across the hallway.

Belgian Suite

Named for the most direct descendants of the “Great Horse” of Medieval times, the Belgian Suite features beautifully appointed, dark antique furniture with gold highlights and beautiful colonial yellow paint. Relax and enjoy countryside views of the Tussey Mountain Ridge and rock garden. Located on the second floor, this 260-square-foot suite features an en-suite bathroom with tub/shower and king bed. Clydesdale Suite -

The rich maple colors and huge size of the Clydesdale are brought to life in this suite. Privately located on the first floor, this suite is ADA accessible. Enjoy countryside views of the Tussey Mountain Ridge, rock garden and forest. The suite includes a maple, four-poster king bed and a desk for extended working stays.

Shire Suite

Similar in size, beauty and elegance to the Shire Horse, this generous master suite is privately located on the first floor with a separate outside entrance. This suite features a spacious en-suite bathroom with an oversized jetted tub; walk-in shower; double, large pedestal sinks; custom tile; large walk-in closet; king bed; navy chaise lounge with hard floors throughout. This room includes a desk for extended working stays. Enjoy countryside views of the courtyard, Mount Nittany and forest. This suite is perfect for couples.

Shetland Pony Suite

The gentle and even-tempered Shetland Pony inspires this suite. Privately located on the second floor, this suite and is suitable for families with children aged five and older or larger groups and features two separate bedrooms with an adjoining private bathroom. The larger bedroom includes a king bed and the smaller bedroom includes a full bed. The bathroom has a double sink vanity and tub/shower. Enjoy countryside views of the courtyard and rock garden. The suite includes a desk for extended working stays.

Whole House Rental

Guests may rent the house with a total of 8 bedrooms and 8 bathrooms, for a total occupancy of 16 guests. We have three rollaway beds available for an extra charge, increasing the total occupancy to 19 guests. Please call 814-777-8466 for whole house rentals.

Half House Rental

Guests may rent the East Wing or the West Wing of the Inn.

West Wing Rental

The West Wing contains 4 bedrooms with 3.5 baths. The bedrooms contain 3 king beds and 1 full bed. With a total occupancy of 8 guests. One rollaway bed is available for an extra charge, increasing total occupancy to 9 guests.

East Wing Rental

The East Wing contains 4 bedrooms, each with a king bed, with 4 en-suite baths for a total occupancy of 8 guests. Two rollaway beds are available for an extra charge, increasing total occupancy to 10 guests.
